Conan O’Brien really took it to NBC’s wallet last night by debuting the new Tonight Show mascot: 2009 Kentucky Derby Winner ‘Mine that Bird’ came out wearing a Mink Snuggie, who then watched restricted NFL Super Bowl footage. The total cost to NBC for a 30 second skit: $4.8 Million. Oh, and Conan’s show did better than NBC’s entire primetime lineup last night (Mercy, Law & Order and Jay Leno). Ouch.
